NaNoWriMo

Woo! NaNoWriMo is coming!!!! A month of writing. Don't worry, Ria, I'm not starting a new novel. :) I'm just using POV (Princes of Ventweno). Plus, I'm doing the Youth Program so that I don't have to write 1600+  words a day. The average page is 250. My goal is 44,000, which is a little bit shorter than my first book, which was about 130 pages long.

MWEHEHEHEHEHE!!!

Tired...

I'm so tired. Not mono again! Nopity nope nope nope. (Mono is being tired all the time after having a sore throat while being perfectly healthy. Doctors can't fix it; it just has to go away. :P Technically I've never had it, but I'm pretty sure that blood test is wrong.)

Not mono again!

History Paper

Oh gosh, me and my paper writing skills. xD

Many thanks to CM, who helped me through my paper, and pointed out that "you can't write a letter to a country". Hm. Yeah, I guess not. And I don't know why, but I found that comment really funny.

1506 Views

I've gotten 1506 views! You guys are awesome.

By the way, at the bottom of my blog are some fish that you can feed. I figured I'd mention them in a blog post because you probably wouldn't see them unless you happened to go to the bottom of my blog for some reason.

(Yes, I made this post just to point out those fish. But you guys are still pretty awesome for giving me so many views; thanks a ton.)

Book Covers

Over at the Book Chewers, they're having a link-up with our three favorite book covers! Here's mine:

The Complete Sherlock Holmes (Barnes & Noble Leatherbound Classics)
I love this cover for its warm brown color, its picture of Sherlock with his pipe, and the tea pot! It's very fancy.

Perelandra (Space Trilogy Series #2)
I like this cover for its creatures. The dragon guy is awesome. :) Plus, the top part is purple in person. It's gorgeous. :)

The Silmarillion. It's purple, there's elves (I think there's females and males, believe it or not.), water, and mountains! So lovely.

Books I'm Reading

Here's what I'm on right now:

Hobbitus Ille: That Hobbit. In Latin. :) I'm just reading it, not really translating. Latin is very beautiful.

Sherlock's Logic: I've finished the story part of the book, and I start the logic-y part, but I think I'll wait on that, because I'm learning some of that stuff in my logic class.

The Complete Sherlock Holmes: I'm on The Valley of Fear now.

The Arabian Nights: There sure are a lot of stories inside the stories. :-o

Jane Austen, Seven Novels: It's got Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey, and Lady Susan. I'm on Sense and Sensibility, and I've already read most of the others.

Gone with the Wind (On the purple Kindle): This is the fourth time I've read it. :)

Catholic's Guide to Depression (On my mom's green Kindle): Because one of my best friends is depressed. :'( I cried for a very long time when I found out.

The Silmarillion: This is the second time I've read it.

Catherine, Empress of All the Russias: I'm writing a paper on Catherine the Great for school, and this is the book I'm using. I doubt I'll finish it though.

Grime's Complete Fairy Tales: They're quite short. Only about two pages each so far.

The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe: I'm on the tales now. They're very...death-y.

I've already finished To Kill a Mockingbird, because it had been on my Kindle and I had almost finished it by the time I bought the book. But it's very lovely. I should post a picture of it sometime.

Yes, I love reading. :)

Lists

I was going to write a list of the ten things I hate most, but instead, how about first I write the ten things I like best? So here, in no particular order, the things are:
  1. Notebooks
  2. Pens
  3. Books
  4. Tea
  5. Coffee
  6. My blue binder, full of the Ventwenoian language stuff.
  7. Bread with apple butter
  8. Google docs
  9. Emails from my friends
  10. Skittles
Now are the things I don't like:
  1. Quiz bowls (Yes, I put this on the top of my list for a reason.)
  2. Spiders (Maybe this should go in 1.)
  3. Math I don't understand, which, so far, has been everything beyond basic stuff.
  4. The vast majority of sciences. Forensics and planetary sciences are pretty cool though.
  5. Flashcards. I will not use those. Fortunately for my Latin teacher, however, he had mentioned briefly something called quizlet, which is AWESOME. Teacher, you win this round.
  6. Black coffee
  7. Being tired
  8. Assassins, murderers, and thieves (I figured I should add those.)
  9. My best friends not being in my school anymore (My friends aren't "things", but I put them on the list anyway, because it is the action of them not being in my school which is so terrible.)
  10. Hm...how about Roman numerals? I don't understand them, and I don't see why I should. I can count up to six, and I also know ten.

Hm

That describes me so well. xD Sometime I'll study for the history midterm on Friday, and I will study awesomely.

Anti Joke Chicken

Ello, folks! How about some anti joke chickens?

Anti joke chicken!

@Mary N another good joke!!!!

Best meme on the Internet.

And now, for my personal favorite:

I don't know why these make me laugh so much.

Where did his tractor go? Did someone steal it? Maybe a wolf came in the middle of the night and ate it.

To Kill A Mockingbird

I went to Barnes and Noble today!!!!!!!! My brother drove me. It was safe enough, I believe. We're still alive.

Anyhow, here's the book of awesomeness:

To Kill a Mockingbird (Barnes & Noble Leatherbound Classics)

Isn't it beautiful?

It has a purple bookmark. PURPALE!!!!

Barnes and Noble leatherbound editions are awesome. And a great big thank you to CM, who gave me the giftcard! You, my dear, are utterly amazing. But even if you didn't give me the giftcard, you'd still be amazing.

Am I as awkward as Sherlock in expressing gratitude? Probably. Oh well. It cannot be helped.\

Thank you!!!!!!!!!

YYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!

I"M GOING TO GO TO BARNES AND NOBLE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I"M GOING TO BUY A NEW BOOK!

Later I'll write all about it here, so stay tuned. :)

Barnes and Noble forever!

Teeth

My miniature human, Jack, has started teething. The baby is three months old, for goodness sakes. If he's going to be early with everything, then I think I'll try to teach him German. That would be awesome.

Latin Song

A friend of mine posted this on G+, and  I just had to show it to y'all!

I laughed until I cried! We're supposed to memorize these and a few other things for Latin class. Good find, fellow-student!
